It is with pleasure that we are presenting a KUDOS Award to Josh Goodsell, ITS Sr. Workstation Associate, at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media (CFAM).
Since coming to CFAM, Josh has improved both the quality and efficiency of technology support. His team-mindset, professional demeanor, collaborative spirit and creative problem-solving make him an invaluable employee. He is an amazing asset and deserves this honor.
As issues arise, he systematically prioritizes and discusses them with leadership. Nominator Melissa Berke, CFAM Associate Dean says, “When Josh notifies me about a problem, he has already developed several solutions and shares the pros and cons of each.” Josh explains things clearly and makes difficult problems understandable.
Faculty and staff are complimentary of Josh and his work. He is tireless as he keeps the students in mind ensuring lab and classroom technology are functionally current. Complaints to the dean’s office have disappeared since he assumed this position. His positive working partnerships with other IT personnel have created valued, cost-sharing results.
Josh’s commitment to UNO and his work are evident. During the winter break, Josh traveled to Nebraska City to manage technology for the Director of the Master of Fine Arts in Writing’s residency. He also has initiated the redesign of a lab to increase capacity for Game Design students. He envisioned a more functional space for current students and planned the technology to be attractive to prospective students, actively helping in recruitment!
Josh’s guests are his wife, Carrie Goodsell; along with Eric Hinsdale, IT Client Services Manager; Sherry Weber, Director of IT Client Services; Brett Bieber, Assistant Vice President of IT Client Services and Brett Blackman, Vice President for Information Technology. Please join us in thanking Josh Goodsell for his College and the University.
