Lincoln, Neb. — The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet at Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St., Lincoln, on Friday, Nov. 3. Committee and task force meetings begin at 8 a.m. and the board meeting begins at 1 p.m.
Linda Pratt, Interim Executive Vice President and Provost at the University, will lead a presentation on "Charting the Future of U.S. Higher Education," a national report appointed by U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings. This important document focuses on accountability, access and affordability of higher education across the nation.
In another presentation, Richard Baier, Director of the State Department of Economic Development, will address the Regents about a report on aligning academic programs at the University with work force opportunities throughout Nebraska. Baier will speak during the committee meetings at 8:30 a.m.
