Lisa Muschall Oncology/Hematology Section Administrator Internal Medicine UNMC
In a unique nomination, Lisa's entire department offered tribute, calling her the glue that holds the Section together. They asked that we share a sample of their praise.
The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator in Lisa's Section made these comments: "Lisa is absolutely the reason Oncology is the best place to work on the UNMC campus. She is an unbelievable administrator, managing the largest department in Internal Medicine. At any given moment she may provide counsel to a staff member, pursue licensure for a new MD hire, work on a grant, interview a potential new hire, work on a budget, set up a potluck. Lisa is a wonderful mentor and an exceptional example to all of us."
An assistant professor wrote: "Lisa prefers to work silently behind the scenes, but her enormous importance to the Section cannot be overestimated."
A Nurse Practitioner in Oncology/Hematology commented: "The field of oncology can be very stressful and tiring, but having Lisa as our leader makes working with our patients more fulfilling."
And another colleague said of Lisa: "She has been the rock of our section. Lisa always has an open door, and a smile on her face. She has been instrumental in promoting a positive, friendly but hard working environment…Lisa is a role model for the entire section, department and university. She strongly supports the mission and vision of UNMC."
