Christine Cary
Recruitment Staff Assistant
Office of Research and Graduate Studies

Christine – charged with the critical task of helping recruit the world’s best graduate students to UNL, has been described as an exemplary employee and a model professional, consistently impressing her colleagues with her work ethic, administrative skills, creativity, passion and deep loyalty to the university.

But what really sets Christine apart is her innovative leadership. She is constantly contributing fresh ideas about how UNL can create more meaningful interactions with prospective students. In fact, Christine has a special ability to see things from a student’s perspective and has developed a sophisticated campus visit program for graduate students – customized for each person’s interests.

Chris believes in representing the University in her professional and personal time. Emphasizing that each of us has the opportunity to advance the university mission, with every single interaction in the community, she created the now famous Graduate Studies motto: "Speak Well of UNL." And she does.
