Workstation Specialist with Customer Support Services, Information Technology, UNMC
On behalf of the Board of Regents I am pleased to present a KUDOS award to Cindy Salyards, a Workstation Specialist with Customer Support Services for Information Technology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Cindy works for the Department of Internal Medicine at UNMC, supporting the information technology infrastructure. As the department has become more dependent on computer technology, her job has grown in size and complexity. Yet despite the huge demands on her time, she is always there for the customer. She is unfailingly helpful, cheerful, respectful and, most importantly, effective in solving problems.
Co-workers call Cindy a breath of fresh air, a person who genuinely cares about her job, her customers and UNMC. But what is particularly striking about Cindy’s approach – is her focus on results. The problems she is asked to address are usually very complex, often spanning multiple information systems across the campus. But somehow Cindy finds a way to get the job done, even it means working and thinking outside the box.
Cindy’s values are driven by the mission of the Medical Center. She works for the greater good of the UNMC community, consistently demonstrating an extraordinary level of effort, compassion, teamwork and creativity. She is a great asset to the institution, someone whose diligence and perseverance always make things happen.
Today Cindy has brought her husband, Dave.
Please join me in thanking Cindy Salyards for her contributions to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
