Research Resources Manager in the Office of the Vice Chancellor at the Durham Research Center, UNMC
I am pleased to present this award to Melanie Stewart, Durham Research Center Research Resources Manager at UNMC.
Nominator Dr. Stephen Rennard (ren-nard’) said, “Melanie had the responsibility for coordinating all of the laboratory moves from DCR-one to DRC-two. That being achieved successfully reflects in large part on Melanie as well as the interactions of the individual lab managers. The entire move experience went smoothly due to the efficient and cordial style in which the move was conducted.”

Lillian Richards of Internal Medicine-Pulmonary Research said Melanie was “the perfect person to coordinate all of the many, many details for the move to DRC-two - a monumental task involving labs from all over the UNMC campus in addition to those in DRC-one. Her knowledge of research labs and equipment was invaluable. Her calm and pleasant demeanor through the whole process was very much appreciated as well as her ability to answer questions and concerns quickly and efficiently.” Melanie has a high level of customer service and communication skills, providing helpful, timely information while holding individuals and groups accountable for their responsibilities.
Please join me in thanking Melanie for her contributions to the University of Nebraska. Congratulations.
