The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will make a campus visit to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012. The day will begin with a tour of the Veterinary Diagnostic Center on East Campus. The university, as part of its Building a Healthier Nebraska initiative, has requested $5 million from the state to plan and design a new Veterinary Diagnostic Center to effectively serve the needs of Nebraska’s veterinarians and livestock industry. The current center, built in 1975, faces challenges including obsolete infrastructure, overcrowding and poor ventilation.

The full itinerary for Friday’s campus visit is as follows:
