Elected to the Board of Regents 2016

After graduating from Creighton Preparatory School in 2013, Patrick Davlin enrolled at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he is working toward a degree in Computer Engineering. He started in Student Government during his freshman year, and has served in positions within the organization including Freshman Senator, Student Services Committee Chair, and Speaker of the Senate. He has also been involved with the campus Residence Hall Association and its chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha. Outside the University, he has worked in an IT Internship with Union Pacific at their headquarters in downtown Omaha.

Daniel Cloonan was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended high school at Millard North and went on to study biology at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. Daniel is currently studying medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He has a passion for education and hopes to build a career in academic medicine going forward. Daniel looks forward to a productive year on the Board of Regents and is honored to represent the students of UNMC.

Elected to the Board of Regents 2016

Rachel Flaugh was raised on a family farm in Hartington, Nebraska. She is majoring in chemistry with a health science emphasis and a minor in political science and will graduate in May 2017 with intentions of pursuing a career in medicine. In addition to academic pursuits, Rachel has served UNK as a Student Senator, Speaker of the Student Senate, Mortar Board Honor Society member, Undergraduate Chemistry Researcher, and Chancellor’s Ambassador. She is both honored and grateful to have the opportunity to serve the University of Nebraska as a Student Regent this year. Rachel is enthusiastic about the prospect of working with the Board to foster even stronger connections with students from campuses across Nebraska for the betterment of our universities and our state.

Spencer Hartman is a native of Imperial, Nebraska, where he grew up on a family commercial cow/calf operation. He started a hydroponic tomato business as an FFA project headed into his freshman year of high school, which has developed into a full time family business growing and supplying tomatoes to grocery stores in southwest Nebraska. He is currently studying Agriculture Economics with an option in Public Policy and a minor in Entrepreneurship. His passions include people, learning, agriculture, and public service.
