9:15 a.m.: “The Student Research Experience” Presenters: Scott Snyder, associate vice chancellor for research and creative activity; student panel representing undergraduate, master’s and doctoral student researchers.
10 a.m.: “General Education Curriculum Revision” Presenters: Deborah Smith-Howell, associate vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean of graduate studies; faculty representatives from the General Education Committee.
10:45 a.m.: Break and relocate to the Nebraska Room of the Milo Bail Student Center.
11 a.m.: “Learning Communities Update” – a panel discussion with representatives from the Thompson Learning Community, Goodrich Program, Project Achieve, and Honors and Avenue Scholars.
Noon: Lunch in the Milo Bail Student Center ballroom.
1 p.m.: “Community Engagement and the Learning Experience” Presenters: Lynnette Leonard, assistant professor in the School of Communication; Sarah Edwards, associate professor in the Teacher Education Department; and Peter Wolcott, associate professor in the Department of Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis.
1:40 p.m.: Wrap-up with Chancellor Christensen.
