Assistant to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, UNO

We would like to present the next Kudos award to Kathy Krause, assistant to the senior vice chancellor for academic and student affairs in the area of budget. Kathy has been a vital member of the campus community for two decades. Her knowledge of budget‐related topics is very helpful to colleagues who say that her job performance is always at the highest level of excellence.

“Kathy’s interpersonal and communication skills are exemplary,” one co‐worker said. “She is professional, courteous, friendly and has a great sense of balance. She makes herself available as needed to serve by providing information, interpreting policy and reconciling anomalies.”

Kathy regularly interacts with Academic and Student Affairs units across campus and enjoys the variety of tasks. Her primary duties are to analyze, report and maintain budgets, review and approve personnel action forms (PAFs) and respond to inquiries.

Kathy commented, “I love my job, the people, the tasks and the challenges.” “The people I work with are amazing, and it’s a privilege to work with them. I am proud to be a part of UNO, and coming to work each day is something I look forward to.”

Kathy’s guests today include her husband, Jeff and two sons – Jonathan and Joshua.
