Celeste joined the Department of Psychology as the Undergraduate Advisor in May 2008. Celeste quickly became an expert advisor and a terrific department and college resource.

Celeste’s duties include serving as the primary advisor for nearly 800 Psychology majors. She has done a great job updating and overseeing the web‐based and Blackboard e‐mail advising efforts for Psychology majors. She has also been co‐teaching the “Careers in Psychology” course and has done an excellent job revamping and refining it.
Celeste meets regularly with visiting students and parents, and she participates in recruitment and retention efforts, including new student enrollment. She also assists with evaluating transfer credit. Celeste has done a terrific job providing expert guidance for students who are having academic difficulty including helping them problem‐solve. Her insight and support for struggling students is remarkable. Celeste recently received the Annual Applause Award for 2009.
