Office Associate II, Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy (COP), UNMC

On behalf of the Board of Regents, I am pleased to present a KUDOS award to Elaine Payne, Office Associate II, Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy (COP) at UNMC. Elaine’s supervisor and nominator, Dr. Dennis Robinson, said that “Elaine has consistently played a vital role in the departmental daily operations for many years. Having an office associate who is trustworthy, professional and always on top of the daily activities is greatly appreciated.” Elaine is responsible for all grants and contracts submitted by the College of Pharmacy faculty as well as the monthly balances of all ledgers. Her knowledge and efficiency is greatly appreciated. She has contributed to the College of Pharmacy’s current placement of fourth out of 110 colleges for the National Institute of Health funding.

Nominator Yuri Lyubchenko said that “Elaine consistently provides outstanding service to the staff within the department. Her help with efficient and timely procedure of proposal submission is absolutely critical for the faculty. Her performance as the office associate is outstanding, and she constantly improves her professionalism to facilitate service to the faculty, students and staff.” Jim Gamerl said that “Elaine is a loyal team player who willingly helps faculty and staff whenever asked. That is why Elaine was awarded the Silver U Award in December 2001 and again in December 2004.”

Today, Elaine has brought her husband, Tom Payne (also a UNMC employee), her supervisor and nominator, Dr. Dennis Robinson and her director of administration and finance for the College of Pharmacy Dean’s Office, Jim Gamerl.
