Elected to the Board of Regents 2012

Jeremy Hosein is a third-year medical student at UNMC and president of his class. The son of a retired Air Force veteran, he was born in Seoul, Korea, and graduated from Papillion-La Vista Senior High School. He holds degrees from New York University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Prior to entering medical school, Hosein worked as a policy adviser in the Office of Gov. Dave Heineman, covering aviation, election and administrative law, banking and finance, and insurance, including Nebraska’s implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. He also has interned in the office of former U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel. Hosein is a member of the American Medical Association and serves as a mentor for UNMC’s High School Alliance program. He enjoys jazz, writing and riding his Harley.
